Senior Accountant – Real Estate & Development
Location: Downtown Miami, FL (On-site, 5 days/week)

Job Overview:
A leading real estate and development company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Miami-based accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional with a strong focus on Accounts Payable (A/P) and industry-specific experience in construction and development.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in real estate accounting, a deep understanding of construction-related financial processes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage accounts payable (A/P) functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to track project costs, budgets, and financial reporting.
- Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting department.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate development or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of A/P processes and construction-related accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work on-site, five days per week in downtown Miami.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
