Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor for a full-time, on-site role.
We are working with a growing food distribution company located in Pedricktown, NJ.

A leading provider in the natural, organic, and grass-fed beef industry is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to join its growing team.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Production & Logistics Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Shipping and Receiving Associates to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations. The role includes managing the loading and unloading of transport trucks, inventory control, and supervising forklift operators during their shifts.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials and packaging components

Ensure proper inventory levels of labels and other consumables
-
Accurately pick, stage, and return materials for production to avoid manufacturing delays

Match all labels to appropriate batch records
-
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for stock checks, inventory counts, and data updates
-
Ensure consistency between AFS and WMS systems for accurate stock availability reporting
-
Communicate findings and complete assigned tasks timely

Analyze burn rates to optimize ordering quantities and inventory min/max levels
-
Coordinate with Scheduling and Marketing teams regarding label updates or discontinuations

Track film usage and coordinate with procurement and inventory management

Manage box production schedules and maintain backstock inventory

Track and manage protective gear inventory for warehouse personnel
-
Maintain and participate in mezzanine area cleaning schedules
-
Read and follow processing schedules to prepare necessary consumables

Receive, sort, and process incoming deliveries from UPS, FedEx, and vendors

Conduct daily cycle counts for consumables inventory

Operate and troubleshoot the box machine as needed

Coordinate consumable returns with the warehouse team

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Adhere to all safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse leadership
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
-
Strong understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Minimum of 3 years of stand-up forklift experience in a warehouse setting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
-
At least 6 months of experience in logistics, retail, or customer service

Forklift Certification (required within 90 days of hire)

Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

Strong communication skills (English required) and the ability to collaborate across departments

Solid math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Comfortable working in cold environments (temperature range -1°F to 45°F)

Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing

Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
