Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist (Hybrid – Nashville/Antioch)
Pay Rate: $21–$22/hour

Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist is responsible for supporting the collection and processing of accounts receivable, specifically focusing on B2B collections in a corporate office environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely payment from customers by managing communications, reviewing account statuses, and assisting the collections team with a variety of administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist team members and leadership with B2B collection efforts and follow-up activities.

  • Processing NSF checks.
  • Review monthly accounts receivable reports and target past-due invoices for charge accounts and COD customers.

  • Conduct outbound communications, including phone calls, emails, faxes, and collection letters to customers and internal teams as directed.

  • Support leadership by handling inbound communications related to collections.

  • Prepare and send external mail and overnight packages for the collections department.

  • Manage inbound and outbound communications through group email inboxes as assigned.

  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the collections team and overall corporate operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounts receivable or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in business-to-business (B2B) collections within a corporate office setting.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret graphs.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to create and maintain documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.

  • Experienced with Oracle, As400, and any ERP related systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to follow clear procedures and solve routine problems.

  • Capable of setting personal goals and working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Skilled at handling multiple tasks and projects with moderate complexity.

Schedule: Hybrid scheduled- Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
