Collections / Accounts Receivable Specialist 


Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid Schedule)


Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking motivated Collections / Accounts Receivable Specialists to join a growing new department focused on bringing operations in-house and contributing to a $4.5 million cost-saving initiative. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team with room for future growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high volume of return checks (500-800 NSF checks monthly, divided among three team members).

  • Pull data from the bank, reverse transactions in customer accounts, and lead the collection efforts for outstanding balances.

  • Provide exceptional customer service during high call volume periods, particularly following check notifications.

  • Maintain personable, relationship-driven communication to retain B2B customers (B2C experience is also acceptable).

  • Work across multiple ERP systems, utilizing Outlook, Excel, and Word daily.

  • Collaborate with teams operating in both Eastern and Pacific time zones; responsible for managing a designated regional portfolio and providing coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Prior B2B collections and/or accounts receivable experience preferred.

  • Strong customer service skills are critical; training provided for candidates with excellent CSR backgrounds and light collections or AR experience.

  • Understanding of debits and credits is highly desired.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfort working across multiple ERP platforms.

  • Degree preferred but not required; candidates interested in leadership or management roles will need a degree.

Work Environment:

  • Initial training onsite for the first week.

  • Hybrid schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office; Monday and Friday work from home (subject to change).

  • Interview process: Initial Teams meeting, followed by an onsite interview.
