Ascendo Resources is partnering with a reputable law firm client in Miami, FL that is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Associate Attorney to join their litigation team. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and be licensed to practice in Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage all phases of complex commercial litigation matters.
  • Draft sophisticated pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions, and handle court hearings.
  • Participate in appellate briefing and strategy.
  • Work on document-intensive cases, including e-discovery and large-scale document reviews.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, clients, and staff to develop litigation strategies.
  • Maintain organized case files and meet critical deadlines with minimal oversight.

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of commercial litigation experience, with a strong background in complex, document-heavy cases.
  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting high-level legal documents and handling motion practice.
  • Proven ability to take and defend depositions and represent clients in court.
  • Experience with appeals and appellate briefing strongly preferred.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage a busy caseload and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Active license to practice law in Florida (required).
