Accounts Payable Specialist – Construction Industry

Our client in the construction industry is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist with experience in construction accounting. This full-time, onsite position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable handling high-volume invoice processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process and ensuring accuracy in vendor communications, invoice entry, and payment tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process a high volume of invoices daily while maintaining accuracy

  • Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices

  • Accurately code and enter both PO and non-PO invoices into the accounting system

  • Maintain up-to-date vendor records and reconcile vendor statements

  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable or general accounting experience

  • Experience with lien notices and waivers is strongly preferred

  • Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus

  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
