Job Title: Insurance Specialist

Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an Insurance Specialist to join its dynamic Legal team. This role supports a variety of insurance-related matters, including Workers’ Compensation and Medical Malpractice. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working across multiple departments while interacting with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Corporate Insurance Manager on insurance-related initiatives
• Support local teams in identifying and managing insurance risks in daily operations and contracts
• Coordinate with external insurance brokers
• Gather underwriting data, complete applications, and assist with insurance renewals and changes
• Handle insurance documentation requests (e.g., certificates of insurance, tail quotes, endorsements)
• Maintain and update insurance data using Smartsheet, Excel, and internal databases
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the insurance industry (healthcare experience preferred)
• Professional insurance designations (e.g., CISR, CIC, CPCU, CWCA, AAI) are a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
• Strategic thinker with a practical approach to risk management
