Ascendo Resources is actively seeking a Controller on behalf of our client, a well-established and rapidly growing manufacturer known for its commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and team-driven culture. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy and support continued growth.

The ideal candidate is sharp, detail-oriented, and confident in managing full-cycle accounting operations, including cost accounting, budgeting, ERP system integration, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including GL, AR/AP, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory
• Lead the month-end close and financial reporting process in accordance with GAAP
• Manage standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Analyze financial results and operational KPIs to support decision-making
• Help manage external service provider relationships with CPA firm, attorneys, insurance carriers, payroll provider, IT consultants
• Work closely with operations and supply chain to improve cost efficiencies
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of accounting staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role
• Prior experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is required
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and ERP systems
• Proven track record of leading teams and improving financial processes
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
