Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare scopes of work and cost estimates for projects.
  • Coordinate customer improvement projects with Space Planners, Leasing Representatives, and Customers.
  • Maintain a pricing database for customer improvements.
  • Conduct site walk-throughs and inspections.
  • Support contractor and subcontractor selection for negotiated work.
  • Obtain necessary permits and schedule required inspections.
  • Review and administer contractor/subcontractor schedules and change orders.
  • Oversee vendor/contractor access, utilities interruptions, and project cleanliness.
  • Monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and manage punch lists.
  • Coordinate project turnover with Customers, Property Managers, and Leasing.
  • Review vendor invoices and approve contractor payments.
  • Track job costs and report variances within 30 days of close-out.
  • Assist with renovations and repairs of existing properties.
  • Provide input on capital projects and maintenance.

Education & Experience

  • B.S. in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction management.
  • Hands-on supervision of tenant/customer improvement construction for a developer, owner, brokerage firm, or general contractor.
  • Knowledge of building systems (plumbing, HVAC, electrical).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication.

Physical Requirements
This role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, and seeing. Occasional climbing, bending, or lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. Must be able to read, understand, and communicate clearly in writing and orally.
