Job Description

A well‑established residential property management firm in NYC is seeking a seasoned Property Accountant to oversee full‑cycle accounting for a portfolio of condominium and cooperative properties. This position requires strong experience in condo/co‑op accounting, a stable work history, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full‑cycle accounting for assigned condo/co‑op properties

  • Perform month‑end close including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statements

  • Conduct bank reconciliations and cash management

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

  • Support board reporting and year‑end audits

  • Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

  • 7+ years of NYC condo/co‑op accounting experience (required)

  • Demonstrated role stability

  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)

  • Experience with property/accounting systems

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
