Office Assistant & File Clerk 

📍 Schedule: Full-Time
📋 Reports to: Department Supervisor
⏱ Status: Non-Exempt


Job Summary

The Filing Clerk is responsible for performing routine clerical and administrative tasks to support daily operations. This role maintains accurate filing systems, assists with general office activities, and provides coverage for other departments as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain filing systems, both electronic and manual.

  • Copy, sort, and file records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters.

  • Perform clerical duties such as typing, filing, and completing simple forms.

  • Operate office equipment, including copiers, scanners, computers, and phone systems.

  • Provide cross-departmental coverage when needed.

  • Sort and distribute incoming mail to appropriate departments or individuals.

  • Assist with other clerical and administrative tasks as assigned.


Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Accurate typing skills (45+ WPM).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Professional interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous clerical or administrative experience preferred.
