Job Title: Supplier Management Coordinator

 Position Overview:

 We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Supplier Management Coordinator to join our Purchasing team. This role is responsible for sourcing and managing suppliers, maintaining strong vendor relationships, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Only local Jacksonville candidates will be considered.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers/vendors to ensure competitive procurement and cost savings.
  • Conduct Requests for Proposals (RFPs), review bids, and negotiate terms.
  • Verify supplier invoices against bids and purchase orders, code invoices, and approve for payment.
  • Maintain supplier database, manage vendor set-ups, changes, and deletions.
  • Monitor compliance with procurement systems across locations and maintain an inventory of indirect items.
  • Oversee supplier agreements, blanket purchase orders, and vendor performance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve performance issues and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Support Accounts Payable with vendor updates and accuracy in payment processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or supplier management.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Office 365, and imaging software.
  • Ability to analyze products and services for cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting department goals.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Additional training or coursework in procurement, supply chain, or related fields.
  • Experience updating and maintaining supplier databases.

 

Work Environment:

  • Standard business hours, with rare exceptions.
  • Occasional fluctuations in workload and priorities.
  • Role requires balancing multiple deadlines and vendor relationships.
  • Performance in this role has a direct impact on departmental cost savings and efficiency.
