A fast-growing national manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead its environmental health and safety programs and cultivate a strong culture of safety across multiple operations. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity within a company that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

About the Role:

The Safety Manager will design, implement, and manage safety initiatives across all production and distribution sites. Reporting to the EVP of Risk Management & Regulatory, this role will partner with operations, engineering, HR, and compliance teams to ensure that all employees work in a safe, sustainable, and compliant environment.

This is a key strategic position for someone passionate about building and strengthening EH&S systems in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Culture

  • Champion workplace safety across all levels of the organization.
  • Lead safety committees and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Integrate safety values into operations and long-term business planning.

Program Development & Compliance

  • Develop and manage comprehensive safety management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and NFPA standards.
  • Lead investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action programs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for new and ongoing operations.

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Design and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Drive proactive safety reporting and accountability.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for engineering and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and industry safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Professional certification (CSP, ASP, CIH, or CHMM) preferred.

Compensation: $90,000–$100,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
Work Environment: Hybrid role based in Jacksonville, FL (onsite presence required several days per week)
