Staff Accountant (Entry-Level)
Compensation: $50,000 to $55,000 base salary
Work Schedule: Mon – Fri: 100% on-site (business professional environment)
Start Date: January 5, 2026
Location: St. Augustine, FL area (World Golf Village)
Overview
A well-established equipment and services organization is hiring an entry-level Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on expense management, corporate card administration, and accounts payable. This is a strong opportunity for a recent accounting graduate (including internship experience) or an early-career accountant (1 to 2+ years) looking for long-term growth and a clear career path.
What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities)
- Review employee expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance
- Route expense reports for approvals and ensure timely processing aligned to payment cycles
- Validate receipts, spending limits, and allowable expense guidelines
- Research discrepancies, missing documentation, and policy exceptions, partnering with employees to resolve issues
- Support corporate credit card coding, balancing, and issue resolution (including investigating discrepancies or potential fraud)
- Assist with new card requests and internal user support (account activation, password resets, login support)
- Process accounts payable invoices, including manual entry, validation, and approval routing
- Manage payables for complex vendors and communicate professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Resolve vendor inquiries through research and problem-solving
- Perform reconciliations (vendor statements, general ledger accounts, and bank reconciliations)
- Complete additional accounting support duties assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Internship experience and/or 1 to 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience or exposure to accounts payable, expense reporting, or reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Professional communication skills with internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to manage deadlines and stay organized in a structured environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with expense management systems and corporate card programs
- Comfort researching discrepancies and documenting resolutions
- Proficiency with common accounting and data entry tools (ERP or accounting systems a plus)
