Ascendo is partnering with a well respected, full-service law firm that is seeking an experienced Legal Practice Assistant to join its Commercial Real Estate team in Charlotte, NC.

This full-time role provides administrative and practice support to attorneys, paralegals, and professional staff in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and track attorney and paralegal time; assist with billing processes
  • Prepare and organize closing binders and support document production
  • Open and maintain new matter files
  • Proofread, format, and prepare legal documents for multi-state and federal filings
  • File documents electronically and in hard copy, as needed
  • Assist with scheduling, calendar coordination, and travel arrangements
  • Support discovery efforts, including document collection and production
  • Provide general administrative and practice support across the CRE team

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in an executive assistant, legal assistant, or similar support role
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and excellent typing and proofreading skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Comfortable working under pressure and adjusting schedules as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year degree preferred
