Position Summary
The Assembler II is responsible for assembling subassemblies and finished products for general-purpose machinery. This role requires the ability to follow mechanical drawings and assembly instructions, perform functional and quality testing, and ensure products meet specifications and delivery timelines. The Assembler II also supports safety, organization, and continuous improvement efforts on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble a variety of mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products using hand and power tools

Interpret and follow mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions

Perform functional and operational testing in accordance with product checklists

Verify dimensional specifications, alignment, and functionality of assembled parts

Conduct visual inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications

Identify, document, and correct assembly discrepancies or defects

Perform basic mechanical adjustments and alignments to ensure proper fit and operation

Document assembly procedures, test results, and quality issues accurately

Record daily production data and maintain accurate work records

Assist with on-time delivery by meeting production schedules

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including adherence to 6S standards

Follow all safety rules, procedures, and guidelines

Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel

Assist in training and mentoring less experienced assemblers as needed
Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related manufacturing role

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation

Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Effective communication skills
