Are you an experienced Employee Relations professional who thrives on solving complex workplace issues and supporting leaders through challenging situations? We’re seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join our Employment Practices team on a contract basis. In this role, you’ll lead investigations, coach leaders, and help foster a fair, respectful, and compliant workplace culture.

What You’ll Do

🔎 Employee Relations & Investigations

  • Conduct timely, thorough investigations into workplace concerns including policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and misconduct

  • Develop investigation strategies, conduct interviews, analyze findings, and document outcomes clearly and objectively

  • Prepare detailed written reports with recommendations and risk assessments

  • Partner closely with HR and Legal teams to ensure compliance and consistent policy application

  • Manage case workflows in ServiceNow, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution

🤝 Advisory & Coaching

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, HR partners, and employees on employee relations matters

  • Coach leaders on conflict resolution, workplace conduct, and performance or behavioral issues

  • Provide guidance on policy interpretation and risk mitigation strategies

  • Support training initiatives that strengthen leader capability in employee relations best practices

📊 Analytics & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate case data and documentation within tracking systems

  • Identify trends and patterns in ER issues and recommend proactive solutions

  • Prepare dashboards, reports, and insights on employee relations metrics and risk areas


What You Bring

✅ Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of employee relations investigations experience in a corporate or field environment

  • Hands-on experience managing investigations and cases in ServiceNow

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws (Title VII, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, ADEA, harassment & retaliation laws)

  • Experience managing sensitive or complex ER cases with professionalism and discretion

  • Exceptional written documentation and investigation report writing skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a retail or hourly workforce

  • Experience coaching leaders and HR partners on employee relations strategies

  • Training development or facilitation experience

  • Background working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization
