Job Title: Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist (Contract)
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Riverside Area – On-Site)
Pay: $23–$26/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Duration: 3 Months (potential to extend)

 


 

About the Role

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to support a fast-paced AR team within a well-established law firm. This is an immediate, short-term opportunity focused on reducing a backlog of outstanding receivables and ensuring timely payment collection.

 

The ideal candidate is confident communicating with clients, highly organized, and able to work efficiently in a structured, professional environment.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Contact clients via phone and email to follow up on past-due invoices
  • Work through a backlog of outstanding receivables and drive collections efforts
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment disputes
  • Process and post payments accurately to client accounts
  • Collaborate with billing staff and the Controller to address client inquiries
  • Generate and distribute collection reports
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collection activity
  • Work efficiently while following best practices and company procedures

 


 

Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Billing
  • Strong communication skills (both phone and email)
  • Ability to handle high-volume outreach in a professional manner
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in a professional services or legal environment is a plus

 


 

Additional Details

 

  • On-site role in a professional office setting (not downtown – easy parking available)
  • Candidates selected for interview will complete a brief Culture Index survey (5–10 minutes)
