Global Legal Billing Analyst

Locations: Raleigh, NC; New York, NY; Washington, DC

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 + overtime + discretionary year-end bonus

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Hybrid (3 days onsite) | 35-hour workweek

A prestigious global law firm is seeking 2 Global Billing Analysts to join its finance team. These are direct-hire opportunities offering strong exposure, a collaborative environment, and the chance to work within a highly respected professional services organization.

This role sits within a large global billing function and plays a key part in supporting the full order-to-cash cycle, ensuring smooth billing operations, strong internal partnership, and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage client billing transactions, including e-billing submissions, while ensuring compliance with client fee arrangements, internal policies, tax requirements, and local regulations
  • Handle time and cost transfers, write-offs, and write-downs with proper approvals and documentation
  • Serve as a liaison to internal stakeholders including Partners, Executive Assistants, and Finance teams to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Investigate billing discrepancies and client account issues, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution
  • Generate and review billing-related reports including aging, audit, collections, and cash flow reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and audit trails across billing activity
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support best practices across the billing function
  • Assist with training new team members as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior law firm billing experience required
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters Elite 3E strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of the billing process, including e-billing and client invoicing workflows
  • Big law experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and comfort working with numbers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior internal stakeholders and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible, deadline-driven, and solutions-oriented mindset
