A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activities within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting tasks, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and account balances
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
- Help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
- Identify discrepancies and assist in resolving accounting issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to support financial operations
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting or finance experience (internships acceptable)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze data and problem-solve effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
