Ascendo Resources is partnering with a high-volume, plaintiff-side personal injury law firm that is seeking a motivated Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its growing Birmingham, AL office. This is an excellent opportunity for a personal injury attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading a team, and is eager to grow into a trial practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of pre-litigation case handling from intake through resolution
  • Lead and mentor a team of 6–10 Case Managers, driving performance and KPIs
  • Guide clients through every stage of the pre-suit process with clear, compassionate communication
  • Draft and file pre-litigation documents and demand packages
  • Oversee settlement negotiations and manage the release approval process
  • Evaluate cases for litigation readiness, including liability and TD approvals
  • Conduct EUOs, PIP statements, and recorded statements
  • Ensure team compliance with firm processes and quality standards

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the Alabama State Bar
  • 2+ years of personal injury experience (premises liability a strong plus)
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume pre-litigation caseload
  • Strong leadership presence with experience managing or mentoring staff
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to advance toward trial work
  • A client-first mindset with a commitment to delivering results
