Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the finance team of an established organization. This position will have broad accounting responsibilities with a strong focus on month-end close, financial reporting, project accounting, revenue recognition, and cost analysis.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge and experience working in a complex, operationally focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet analysis
• Prepare and analyze financial reporting
• Handle Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting
• Support revenue recognition and project accounting
• Perform cost and variance analysis
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Support inventory-related accounting
• Assist with audits and internal controls
• Partner with cross-functional departments on accounting and financial matters
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with cost accounting and/or project accounting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• CPA preferred
• IFRS knowledge is a plus
