Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed fire and life safety services company. The accounting team is growing alongside the company, and this role offers real exposure to multi-entity accounting, acquisition integration, and an upcoming NetSuite implementation. 

Responsibilities: 

• Prepare, review, and post monthly closing journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, payroll, and recurring entries
• Perform and document monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis
• Oversee AR, including customer invoicing, AIA billing, cash application, collections support, and aging review
• Oversee AP, including invoice processing, approval workflow, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations
• Prepare WIP schedules and support job cost reporting and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
• Support the monthly close calendar and assist with financial statements and supporting schedules
• Participate in acquisition integration, including opening balance sheets, chart of accounts mapping, and onboarding new entities onto standard processes and systems
• Help build and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as the business grows
• Assist with audit requests, tax support schedules, and other external reporting
• Partner with operations and field leadership to resolve accounting questions

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Construction accounting experience is required, including calculating WIP and POC revenue recognition
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the month-end close
• Hands-on experience with journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Advanced Excel skills
