We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Litigation Attorney to join our client's growing team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience handling complex construction defect litigation, including multi-party cases involving large-scale construction projects. As a key member of our litigation team, you will play a pivotal role in representing clients in high-stakes legal matters involving construction disputes, defect claims, and related construction issues. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
This position offers a hybrid work model, providing flexibility to work both remotely and in the office, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and handle a caseload of complex construction defect litigation matters, focusing on large multi-party cases.
- Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on construction-related disputes, including defect claims, breach of contract, and warranty issues.
- Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients to develop and implement litigation strategies.
- Analyze and interpret construction contracts, statutes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with experts, engineers, and other professionals to build strong cases.
- Ensure compliance with legal deadlines and maintain thorough case files.
- Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in the best interest of clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
- At least 2 years of experience in construction defect litigation, with a focus on multi-party cases.
- Strong knowledge of construction law, including defect claims, contractual obligations, and warranty laws.
- Proven experience in litigation, including drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, and handling court appearances.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
