Our client, a top global hospitality group, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team in Miami, FL. The company is experiencing unprecedented growth and is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Accountant to join its growing team.   

The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the company’s 30-person Accounting and Finance team, responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and analysis. This position requires strong accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
    • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial data.
    • Prepare and analyze balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
    • Provide support in the preparation of internal and external financial reporting, including monthly and quarterly reporting packages.
  • General Ledger & Account Maintenance
    • Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Assist with journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.
    • Monitor and reconcile various balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring financial goals are met.
    • Provide insights into budget variances and assist in preparing forecasts for department heads.
    • Help prepare financial analysis reports to support decision-making across the organization.
  • Audit & Compliance
    • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation during audits.
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and controls.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.
    • Provide financial insights and support to department heads and senior management.
    • Work closely with the finance team to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience in the hospitality or service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling and analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
