Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Location: Palatine, IL. 

About Us: Ascendo Resources is hiring for a dynamic Customer Service Representative for one of our innovative Biotech clients to join the team! We are looking for a Customer Service Representative who is capable of multi-tasking, and updating multiple CRM's and spreadsheets to enter new customer orders. 

Position Overview: We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support to our manufacturing client's customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering outstanding service, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role involves handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and chat
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Process orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently
  • Coordinate with other departments, including sales and production, to ensure timely delivery of products and services
  • Provide product information, pricing, and availability to customers as needed
  • Handle customer complaints and escalate complex issues to appropriate channels for resolution
  • Maintain accurate customer records and update information in the database
  • Continuously strive to meet or exceed customer satisfaction goals and performance metrics

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proven experience in customer service or related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and relationships with customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP and SalesForce software is a plus
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Order-entry experience is a HUGE PLUS!
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
