Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and perform month-end closing procedures.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and prepare financial statements.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and provide financial analysis to inform business decisions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments and client invoices.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings and other financial regulations.
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls and enhance financial processes.
• Assist in preparing for external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role, with a strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Expertise in QuickBooks Online is required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, with strong communication skills in both languages.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A CPA designation (or working towards it) is a plus.
• Experience in the food and beverage, or retail industries is preferred.
