Our Client is seeking an experienced Domestic Relations/Family Law Attorney who is bilingual in Spanish to represent clients in all aspects of family law matters. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and able to work onsite in the Charlotte office.
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of family law cases, offering legal counsel, and providing strategic solutions in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel and representation in family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence cases.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress and explaining legal options.
- Advocate for clients' best interests, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all stages of the process.
- Collaborate with the legal team and support staff to ensure seamless case management.
- Stay current on developments in family law and attend continuing education opportunities.
- Utilize bilingual skills to assist Spanish-speaking clients with navigating the legal system and ensure clear communication.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Active State Bar license in North Carolina and in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing family law.
- Fluency in Spanish, with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong knowledge of family law, including experience handling divorce, custody disputes, child support, and related matters.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to client relationships.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and meet deadlines.
- A team-oriented attitude and a passion for helping clients navigate challenging legal situations.
- Must be able to work onsite in the Charlotte office.
