Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Director of Operations for a full-time role. Salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 a year.

 

Our client is a fast-growing Home Care start-up. We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead the launch and growth of its non-skilled home care agency. This is an exciting opportunity to build an organization from the ground up, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and high-quality patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Startup & Licensing:

  • Lead agency setup, including licensing, accreditation, and payer contracting (Medicaid, Medicare, MCOs, private insurance).
  • Develop policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks in line with state and federal regulations.

Operations Management:

  • Build and oversee infrastructure for scheduling, billing, payroll, HR, training, and compliance.
  • Implement best practices to ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Establish and track KPIs for agency performance.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise administrative and clinical staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care.

Business Development:

  • Partner with leadership on growth strategies, marketing, and referral development.
  • Build relationships with hospitals, case managers, community groups, and referral partners.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure adherence to regulations (HIPAA, wage parity, labor laws, payer requirements).
  • Oversee audits, incident reporting, and continuous quality improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Director of Operations in a non-skilled home care agency.
  • Strong knowledge of HHAeXchange.
  • Must be located near Akron, Cleveland, or Columbus, OH.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build systems from the ground up.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $90,000 – $110,000
  • Bonus structure commiserate to performance
