We are a dynamic and innovative construction company dedicated to delivering exceptional projects. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Controller/Accounting Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight:
Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management and stakeholders.
Monitor project costs against budgets and identify potential cost overruns or savings.
Accounting and Reporting:
Supervise the accounting team and ensure adherence to accounting principles and standards.
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Coordinate audits and tax returns.
Contract Management:
Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with financial terms.
Manage contract variations and claims.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects.
Develop and implement risk management strategies.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting or financial management.
Strong understanding of construction industry accounting practices and standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
