Job Title: Land Use Real Estate Development Attorney

Location: Orlando, FL

Job Type: Full-time

Our client, a prominent law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join their dynamic team. As a Real Estate Attorney at the firm, you will play a pivotal role in handling complex real estate transactions and providing legal counsel to clients ranging from large corporations to individual investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence reviews for real estate transactions, including title examinations, surveys, zoning issues, and environmental assessments.
  • Advise clients on real estate development projects, including land use, planning, and zoning issues.
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of real estate agreements and documents, such as purchase agreements, leases, financing documents, and easements.
  • Handle closings and oversee the preparation and review of closing documents.
  • Provide legal guidance on real estate tax matters and property management issues.
  • Represent clients in real estate litigation matters, including disputes over ownership, lease agreements, and boundary disputes.
  • Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm, such as tax, corporate, and environmental law, to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Florida.
  • 7+ years of experience practicing real estate law at an AM100 law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Proven track record in handling complex real estate transactions and litigation matters.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance, leasing, and property management.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and maintaining client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience advising institutional clients, real estate developers, and investors.
  • Familiarity with real estate technology and software (e.g., DocuSign, Clio, CoStar).
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., American Bar Association, Real Estate Bar Association).
