Our Client is a prestigious AM100 law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, known for commitment to excellence and client-centered approach. The litigation practice is dynamic and diverse, handling complex commercial disputes with a focus on innovative and pragmatic solutions. We are seeking a motivated and talented Associate Attorney to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Position Overview: We are looking for an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of general commercial litigation experience to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will be a creative yet pragmatic thinker who is proactive and dedicated to solving complex problems efficiently. The role requires strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, and a passion for taking depositions, arguing motions, and trying cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Litigation: Assist in the preparation and management of complex commercial litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
  • Courtroom Experience: Take depositions, argue motions or hearings in court, and participate in trials as needed.
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and provide detailed analysis to support case strategies and client advice.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior attorneys and other team members in a collaborative environment to develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of general commercial litigation experience in a law firm setting.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission: Member of The Florida Bar or the ability to promptly obtain admission in Florida.
  • Skills: Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Attributes: Creative, pragmatic thinker with a strong initiative and problem-solving focus. Enthusiasm for courtroom work and client advocacy.
  • Teamwork: Ability to thrive in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
