Exciting opportunity to join an established and growing private equity firm headquartered in the Miami area. The candidate will support Director of Finance and Accounting and CFO with fund accounting and corporate financial planning and analysis functions for all corporate entities and funds. Job Functions

Primary fund accounting procedures, including preparation and/or reviewing of accounting entries, financial statements, and Net Asset Value (NAV) reporting, cash flow projections, loan covenant monitoring, asset level and investor allocation if income and expense and capital accounts, carried interest calculations, and maintenance of waterfall models and returns

Work with third party fund administrators in reconcile transaction details and balances from cash activity and the general ledger and in preparing and distributing capital call and capital distribution notices and related calculations.

Interact with third party tax consultants to ensure that all tax information is compiled properly.

Assist in preparing and supporting annual audits and related documentation to support fund accounting records

Have a thorough understanding of all concepts within assigned Funds' governing documents (PPM, LPAs, IMAs, etc.), and be able to articulate and apply them correctly in carrying out day-to-day management of assigned Funds

Maintain and analyze all facets of the corporate P&L, incl. historical spend for vendors, 3rd party legal/accounting/tax advisors, insurance providers, borrowers, contractors, renters, lenders, etc.

Assist in corporate treasury functions

Collaborate across tax, treasury, accounting, financial operations (Cash, AP, AR), strategic finance, and loan management

Review credit line draw/paydown/other notices, lender compliance and reporting, partner capital statements and quarterly investor letters and liaise with Investor Relations in the distribution of such deliverables and in preparing responses to periodic investor requests/questions.

Participate in monitoring all investments and analyze the related performance. Communicate and prepare financial track record and status of financial results. Help to prepare analyses or responses to address requests from Investment and/or Origination professionals.

Support initiatives targeted at financial processes improvement and the implementation of changes to achieve efficiencies and objectives

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related quantitative field required.
  • MBA or post-graduate degree preferred. CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • 2-5 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in alternative investments (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, private credit), banking, or public accounting preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Investment Company financial reporting requirements and U.S. GAAP, and partnership accounting
  • Experience with cloud based accounting softwares (Quickbooks Online, Xero, Netsuite, etc)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and valuation experience
  • Experience with distressed debt, credit instruments, and/or originated loans preferred.
  • Experience with SQL or BI Software (Power BI, Tableau) preferred

 The compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 + Target performance bonus of $25,000-$30,000
