We are seeking a Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney to join a boutique law firm in Charlotte. As a key member you will provide comprehensive legal guidance and services to clients in matters related to estate planning, trust administration, probate, and related areas. You will play a crucial role in assisting clients with their estate planning needs, ensuring the proper management and distribution of assets, and helping families navigate the complexities of estate law. This is a prime opportunity for a motivated individual with 0-2+ years of experience. Duties: Collaborate on tailored estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney Assist in assessing clients' financial and personal situations. Contribute to drafting and reviewing legal documents for compliance. Support senior attorneys in trust administration, funding, asset management, and beneficiary distributions. Participate in advising fiduciaries on responsibilities and trust terms. Learn probate procedures, including document filing, court representation, and issue resolution. Collaborate with beneficiaries, heirs, and stakeholders for asset distribution. Provide clear, responsive client communication. Assist in legal research and analysis of trusts and estates laws. Work with partners, senior attorneys, and support staff to deliver quality legal services. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and an NC Bar 0-2+ years of legal experience, preferably in trusts and estates. Basic understanding of estate planning, trust administration, probate, and related areas. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thorough work. Effective multitasking and prioritization abilities. Proficiency in legal research tools and software a plus.
