Trial Attorney - Plaintiff Side First Party Property & Personal Injury

A rapidly expanding plaintiff-side law firm specializing in first party property and personal injury claims is seeking a talented Trial Attorney to join its team. As the firm continues to expand its national presence, this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the growth of the firm in Charlotte. Responsibilities:

  • Case Preparation and Litigation: Engage in thorough legal research to craft case strategies. Prepare and evaluate cases for trial, including drafting pleadings and legal documents such as complaints, responses, and motions.
  • Negotiation and Resolution: Lead settlement negotiations and utilize alternative dispute resolution methods to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Depositions and Discovery: Oversee deposition preparation and attendance, and manage the discovery process, including responding to requests and resolving issues.
  • Court Representation: Act as the primary representative for clients in court hearings, presenting arguments and ensuring consistent client communication.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of attorneys and legal staff, managing a substantial caseload with efficiency and fostering a team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina, with a preference for multilingual candidates (English/Spanish).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in first party property law, or personal injury law with significant litigation experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to manage complex legal strategies and client relationships.
