Our client, a leading food and beverage company, seeks a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to enrich their expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounts payable processes, with a preference for individuals bringing a background in real estate finance. They are seeking a motivated go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the continued success of their organization.

 

Must have SAP Experience and Must come from a manufacturing company.

 

Job Duties:

  • Preference for candidates with a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with 2+ years of AP or accounting experience, including coding invoices, applying bills, and vendor management across a large portfolio of properties.
  • Process bills accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot any issues or discrepancies that arise during the payment process, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to resolve them promptly.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and solve problems related to invoice coding, approval workflow, and vendor communications.
  • Manage the approval workflow for invoices, coordinating with various departments to obtain necessary approvals in a timely manner.
  • Handle all vendor transactions through the AVID system, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with vendor agreements.
  • Take a proactive approach to AP duties, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation in daily tasks.
  • Conduct thorough error checking to prevent inaccuracies and discrepancies in billing and payment processes.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience in real estate finance preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software systems, with experience in QuickBooks or similar platforms preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and drive process improvements.
