Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role involves managing financial records for a portfolio of clients and handling payroll and accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain general ledger and bookkeeping for clients.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, and monitor cash flow.
• Set up payroll accounts and handle payroll processing with third-party firms (e.g., Trinet, Paychex).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Communicate with federal, state, and local agencies for tax and registration purposes.
• Assist clients and team with administrative tasks as needed.
• Work with team members in San Francisco and NYC on projects like financial reporting and client onboarding.
• Coordinate with external partners such as lawyers, CPAs, and payroll providers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in French is preferred.
• Strong bookkeeping and payroll experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
