Job Title: Patient Services Representative (Hybrid Full-Time)
Location: Town & Country, Kendall (Training Onsite)
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Hybrid Schedule
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Patient Services Representative to join our team at BHSF. In this role, you will be responsible for validating patient identities, analyzing balances, reviewing services billed, and ensuring correct patient/insurance information is entered. You will also be assisting patients and internal departments to resolve concerns, ensuring the highest level of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate patient identities to comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Analyze patient balances and review services billed for accuracy.
- Ensure correct patient/insurance and demographic information.
- Identify and resolve customer concerns, coordinating with various BHSF departments (Financial Assistance, Charge Review, Patient & Guest Services, etc.).
- Answer incoming calls from patients, attorneys, and other internal/external customers.
- Submit contractual adjustments to accounts as necessary, utilizing knowledge of Managed Care contracts.
- Process and document incoming patient mail within a 7-10 day window.
- Handle high-volume calls while maintaining quality customer service.
- Utilize system resources to resolve patient issues efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience/certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a call center.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and revenue codes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent math, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage difficult callers in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred).
Training:
Onsite training for 4-8 weeks at the Town & Country, Kendall location.
