Job Title: Accounts Payable Coordinator
Location: Tampa, FL 
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire after 90 days
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $25 – $30 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

A well-established company in the construction industry is seeking a detail-driven Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in full-cycle AP and construction accounting. The coordinator will ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintain vendor relationships, and support accounting operations with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls

• Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices

• Accurately code and enter PO and non-PO invoices into the accounting system

• Monitor and reconcile vendor accounts, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies

• Maintain up-to-date vendor records and respond to inquiries professionally

• Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable

• Track lien releases and waivers as required

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of full-cycle accounts payable or accounting experience

• Experience with lien notices and waivers is highly preferred

• Prior construction industry experience is a strong plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting software

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and meet daily processing goals
