Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Estimator to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong preference for residential construction exposure. This individual will be responsible for analyzing project plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, and assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.

Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.

Assist in the preparation and submission of bid proposals for residential construction projects.

Communicate and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain and verify pricing.

Maintain and update estimating templates, historical cost data, and other documentation.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize data, perform calculations, and present cost breakdowns.

Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.

Support the team in identifying cost-saving opportunities and project risks.
Qualifications:

2+ years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.

Experience in residential construction strongly preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Familiarity with estimating software is a plus (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Buildertrend, or similar).
