Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Estimator to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong preference for residential construction exposure. This individual will be responsible for analyzing project plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, and assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.

• Assist in the preparation and submission of bid proposals for residential construction projects.

• Communicate and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain and verify pricing.

• Maintain and update estimating templates, historical cost data, and other documentation.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize data, perform calculations, and present cost breakdowns.

• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.

• Support the team in identifying cost-saving opportunities and project risks.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.

• Experience in residential construction strongly preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Familiarity with estimating software is a plus (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Buildertrend, or similar).
