Medical Assistant – Full-Time
Pay Range: $17–$18 per hour
Schedule: Three 12-hour rotating shifts (including weekdays and weekends)
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves working closely with a consistent team, including a medical receptionist, throughout each shift to ensure a smooth and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage patients, take vital signs, and document information in patient charts
- Perform blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and lab work
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist with procedures
- Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with check-in/check-out
- Verify insurance and collect payments
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT (A-level), Paramedic, Radiologic Technologist, or similar program
- OR Active RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification
- OR High school diploma/GED with at least 6 months of relevant MA experience
- OR Licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience (must be verified by a supervisor)
- Active BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred:
- Recent experience in urgent care, emergency department, or ambulatory clinic settings
