Senior Key Account Manager – Transportation & Logistics
Base salary $85,000 + uncapped performance incentives (target 50% bonus at plan)
Hybrid / Travel required (2–3 trips per month)

Overview:

A leading national transportation and logistics provider is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager to drive growth across some of its most strategic customer relationships. This individual will manage a multimillion-dollar portfolio ($50M–$100M in annual revenue) and play a central role in expanding existing partnerships while acquiring new, high-value accounts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Grow Strategic Accounts: Expand wallet share across major transportation clients by introducing new services and optimizing current operations.
  • Develop New Business: Identify and close high-potential customers aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Engage Decision-Makers: Conduct in-person meetings, lead proposals and contract negotiations, and deliver executive-level presentations.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with pricing, operations, and finance to develop tailored logistics solutions that meet profitability targets.
  • Deliver Results: Achieve revenue, margin, and performance metrics while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze & Plan: Build annual sales plans, evaluate account performance, and report metrics within the CRM system.
  • Represent the Brand: Attend industry events and host customer appreciation engagements to strengthen relationships.

What You Bring:

  • Proven success managing large-scale transportation or logistics accounts ($50M+ portfolios ideal).
  • 10+ years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management, including 5+ years in complex account management or sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Strong financial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence across organizational levels.
  • Skilled communicator with high emotional intelligence and a consultative approach to relationship-building.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
