Staff Accountant – Boca Raton, FL

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team at a growing publicly traded company in Boca Raton. This role is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with financial reporting, month-end close, and audits, while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

• Support external auditors with documentation and information requests.

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliations.

• Prepare bank reconciliations, fixed asset schedules, and depreciation entries.

• Collaborate with AP, AR, and FP&A teams to ensure correct reporting and coding.

• Help maintain internal controls and support SOX compliance efforts.

• Participate in ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or public accounting setting.

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.

• Comfortable working with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and ERP systems like SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle.

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SOX controls or working in a publicly traded company.

• Big 4 or audit experience.

• Knowledge of fixed assets, revenue recognition, and multi-entity consolidations.
