SEC Reporting Manager

Role Type: Full-Time 

We’re looking for a SEC Reporting Manager to join our finance team and take ownership of all SEC reporting and related financial processes. In this role, you’ll coordinate quarterly close activities, prepare and review SEC filings, and lead key technical and financial analyses. You’ll collaborate closely with accounting, tax, legal, and operational teams, as well as internal and external auditors.

You’ll also play a key role in ad hoc projects, process improvements, and system implementations. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced, growing organization while working alongside a collaborative team.


What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of audit and/or external financial reporting experience.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting required.

  • CPA required.

  • Public accounting experience preferred (Big 4 experience a plus), including auditing public companies.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Ability to work on diverse projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience with Workiva is a plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation and review of timely, accurate SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required reports.

  • Ensure compliance with all SEC regulations and GAAP requirements.

  • Oversee preparation and review of supporting schedules and tie-out procedures.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors on filings and supporting documentation.

  • Assist with interim and annual disclosure checklists and supplemental schedules.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to draft business descriptions, industry overviews, risk factors, and MD&A sections for filings.

  • Support preparation of quarterly and annual earnings releases and annual proxy statements.

  • Ensure accuracy of XBRL tagging for SEC submissions.

  • Conduct research on SEC, GAAP, and PCAOB standards and provide updates on regulatory changes.

  • Support accounting for business combinations (ASC 805), including purchase price allocation and opening balance sheets.

  • Provide guidance on complex accounting transactions and technical matters.

  • Oversee international accounting teams, review work, and provide guidance/training.

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and maintain high control review standards.

  • Manage equity accounting and stock-based compensation, including oversight of equity records.

  • Collaborate across teams to support business initiatives and process improvements.

  • Lead ad hoc projects as needed.
