FRONT DESK / LEGAL ASSISTANT
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Requirement: Bilingual Spanish/English

We are seeking a professional, positive, and organized Front Desk/Legal Assistant to support our Immigration Unit. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with clients, and can manage multiple administrative tasks with accuracy and professionalism. Due to the nature of the position, no flexible schedule is available.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-screen applicants for immigration services and schedule appointments.

  • Maintain and update the office calendar.

  • Greet and check in applicants and clients.

  • Support case staff with client communication, including answering and returning calls, emailing clients, directing calls, taking messages, preparing letters, and copying documents.

  • Utilize a telephonic interpreter service as needed; provide in-person interpretation for non-Spanish-speaking staff when appropriate.

  • Enter and open cases in the case management system and assist with organizing closed files.

  • Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, copying, filing, and mail handling.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and coordinate deliveries.

  • Complete additional duties as assigned by leadership.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (required).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and strong overall computer skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, client-focused environment.

  • Experience handling phone calls and navigating busy or stressful situations.

  • Prior experience in immigration law is strongly preferred but not required.

  • 1+ year of experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, guest service specialist, or similar role in a legal setting is preferred
