Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for a full-time, hybrid role located in the Bronx, NY. Salary range is up to $90,000 a year.

Our client is a mission-driven healthcare/managed care network in the Bronx. We are seeking dynamic candidates with 3+ years of accounting experience. Accounting analysis experience is preferred!

What you’ll do

• Contribute to monthly close and prepare income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
• Prepare and post adjustments (revenue, medical, and administrative expenses).
• Reconcile interfaces to the GL from TPAs, MCOs, regulators, payroll/benefits systems; maintain interim summary tables.
• Assist with certified financial statements, audits, and federal/state regulatory filings.
• Support budgeting for financials and grant proposals; assist with AP/AR entry and vendor invoice review.
• Perform balance sheet account analyses; identify trends and recommend structure improvements (chart of accounts, product/MCO reporting).

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years of financial accounting/analysis; healthcare or managed care experience preferred.
• Familiarity with health insurance accounting; government program reporting a plus. CPA helpful but not required.
• Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Tableau is a plus. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
