Our client in the Orlando area is currently seeking a Controller with experience in Construction to join their growing team.

The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial activities, including supervising the monthly close process, invoicing clients for services rendered, managing accounts receivable and payable, preparing budgets, projecting quarterly taxes, preparing annual tax returns, and managing treasury functions.

• Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all accounting and financial functions, including monthly close process, billing, AR/AP, budget preparation, and tax-related tasks.
  • Implement department-wise transaction recording and compare costs to budget.
  • Oversee journal entries, monthly close process, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Gain proficiency in ERP/MRP software and support technology implementation.
  • Assist in policy implementation and maintain effective processes for timely reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Analyze asset operations and overall business performance.

• Requirements:
  • 5+ years of accounting and financial experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or building products industry.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with multiple supervisors.
  • Strong GAAP and financial reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP software.
