Our esteemed client in Bogota, New Jersey is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Controller to support the CFO and manage financial operations across multiple business entities, including a real estate development company and an affiliated clothing business. This role is onsite, hands-on, and ideal for someone who thrives in a small, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the CFO on day-to-day and special financial projects

• Manage Accounts Payable, P&L, balance sheets, journal entries, and financial statement reviews

• Perform financial modeling and assist with forecasting as needed

• Conduct routine administrative tasks: mail handling, data entry, filing, and digital organization

• Oversee and maintain books for the company’s clothing business

• Work extensively in QuickBooks, ensuring accurate tracking and categorization of multiple entities

• Understand and maintain the company’s digital filing and organizational systems

• Participate heavily in special projects and process improvements

• Utilize AI tools for efficiency and workflow enhancements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with QuickBooks and Excel (strong proficiency required)

• Clear and professional English communication skills; Spanish is a plus

• Strong organizational skills with a pleasant, easygoing, and professional demeanor

• Experience in Real Estate Development / Land Development is strongly desired

• Comfortable with AI-based tools and technology

• Ability to work independently in a small company (15 full-time employees)

• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, communicative personality
