We are partnering with a leading Real Estate Development & Property Management firm in Miami to hire a Senior Property Management Accountant with strong Yardi expertise. This individual will manage the accounting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cash management, and operational support.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of assets, including monthly close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Utilize Yardi Voyager extensively for GL management, property-level reporting, tenant ledger maintenance, and system-based workflows.
  • Review and post tenant billings, rent charges, CAM/operating expense reconciliations, and other recurring transactions.
  • Process and approve AP invoices, vendor payments, and purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, security deposits, cash accounts, and escrow accounts monthly.
  • Prepare monthly property financial packages, including variance analysis and explanations for management and ownership.
  • Partner with property managers to review budget-to-actual performance, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate rent rolls.
  • Assist with annual budgets, CAM reconciliation processes, and year-end audit support.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for all property-related accounting activity.
  • Coordinate with external parties such as lenders, auditors, tax consultants, and JV partners as needed.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of property management accounting experience (multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, or similar).
  • Mandatory: High proficiency in Yardi Voyager (GL, AP, AR, CAM, reporting modules).
  • Strong understanding of property-level financials, rent rolls, and CAM/tax reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, variance analysis).
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to partner cross-functionally with property managers and leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with real estate ownership structures, JV reporting, and lender requirements.
  • Exposure to property transitions (acquisitions/dispositions).
  • CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.
