Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our accounting team during a peak period. The AR Clerk will be responsible for managing invoicing, posting payments, reconciling accounts, and assisting with collections to ensure timely and accurate revenue processing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time

  • Post and apply customer payments (checks, ACH, credit cards)

  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger and resolve discrepancies

  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances

  • Communicate with customers regarding billing questions and payment status

  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation

  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to AR

  • Support audits by providing requested AR documentation

  • Perform other accounting or administrative duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • 1+ year of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting (temporary experience acceptable)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with high-volume invoicing or collections

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


Physical / Work Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer

  • Ability to handle confidential financial information
